I live at a place called Bærums Verk and it lies in the suburbs of Oslo. If you ever visit, you might think it looks country like or boring, but it's actually a really nice place to live with everything you need close by. We have a little local shopping mall, a lake nearby, a small part of town with old houses that are really neat. We even have our own little waterfall.
Even though it's almost out in the country, it doesn't make us disconnected from the world. We have busses that go every 15 minutes from morning to night that can take us to Oslo or Sandvika that haves Scandinavia’s largest mall, my school and part time job.
My house is an the top of a hill and we have the forrest right behind our house so if we feel like it we can go for a walk in the woods. And because it's on the top of a hill it has great oppourtunities to go sleighriding in the winter if you like that. We also have a small slalom hill called Kolsås bakken wich lies only two stops away from downtown.
If you like museums and stuff like that, we have one too. Back in the days they used to make iron here, so theres a little factory that you can look at in the old part of town. There you can also find some cute little oldfashioned restaurants and small stores where they sell homemade clothes, jewlery, glass and toys.

Your town sounds very similar to ours. We have a historic district and a downtown with antique shops, cafes, and shops.
Our weather is very different. We can't go sledding because we dont get enough snow. We are luck to see snow (mixed with sleet) once per winter season. Sometimes in the winter we can even run around in shorts:)

Baerums verk sounds like a cool place to live with so much to do. It has snowed a few times in Minden but it was more like ice than snow. It's really cool to learn more about where you're from. How much snow falls when it does snow there? : )

It really differs on how much snow we get each year. A little while ago it we got 0,5 meter snow which is about 2 feet. And the next week we got even more so now we just got a whole lot of it everywhere.
But then again we don't have snow all the time. Like right after christmas it was almost nothing.

My hometown is a lot like yours. Our weather is crazy. One day it's hot then the next it's cold. But I stay in the country. We like to go mudriding on our fourwheelers and also in our vehicles it's so much fun. What do you like to do for fun?
